Time-Share Insurance
Mercury News: "A Seattle company has started marketing a trip insurance policy designed specifically for the nation's 3 million time-share owners. The VacationGuard policy includes standard trip insurance features such as coverage for trip interruptions, emergency medical treatment, medical evacuations, and lost or delayed baggage. But the policy also includes special coverages for time-share exchange fees, annual maintenance fees, roadside assistance and even accidental damage to furnishings in the unit. Another unusual feature is that VacationGuard policies are purchased annually instead of per trip. A time-share owner using points to travel multiple times during the year would pay only once and be covered for each trip."
